Pistons win finale

April 15, 2010

Mercy, at last! This season is over.

Detroit rallied from 16 down in the third quarter behind 20 from Tayshaun Prince and 13 from Charlie Villanueva to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 103-98 last night.

“This is Detroit basketball. This is an organization that’s used to going to the playoffs and going to the Finals,” Villanueva said. “I know it’s going to get back to what Detroit basketball needs to be.” (ESPN)

This marks the first time in 9 years the Pistons have missed the playoffs, and the worst record (27-55) they’ve suffered in 16 years.

See you in October, boys.
