What we feared?

After facing their first real test of the season, the Tigers came up short, falling to the Seattle Mariners at Safeco, 11-3.

Jeremy Bonderman gave up 10 runs, 8 earned, in 4+ innings, while King Felix was brilliant.  Hernandez struck out 9 Tiger hitters in 6.2 innings, surrendering only 2 earned.

There were cries that the Tigers second best start in two decades could be attributed to playing two bottom-feeding teams, and tonight’s game did not put those fears to rest.

One Response to “What we feared?”

  1. Richard Wolk Says:

Not such a big test- this was a road game and as far as the team has to travel. The season is 162 games long- give them the benefit of the doubt early so you’re still on the bus come late August.
