Lynn Henning apologizes

In response to a column by Lynn Henning on March 20th that said Dontrelle Willis was headed for release, The Honolulu Blue published an article arguing that Willis should be the Tigers 5th starter.  Upon completion of the roster, Dontrelle Willis is indeed in the Tigers’ starting rotation.

Lynn Henning, the professional that he is, owned up to his mistake yesterday saying:

How will Willis do? Big question there, which leads into congratulations and to an apology. I wrote two weeks ago that I believed Willis would be released and Bonderman and Nate Robertson would be in the Tigers rotation. Other than the fact Robertson was traded and Willis became a fifth starter, it was a great call.

You are great at what you do Lynn, and thanks for the great coverage–just a brief lapse in judgement on that one.
