Bonderman responds

Jeremy Bonderman followed Dontrelle Willis’ performance with a gem of his own in the Tigers 8-2 win over the Nationals tonight.

Bondo went 4 1/3 allowing 1 earned run and surrendering 5 hits.  Most of the hits were soft, as was the Tigers defense.

Bonderman is trying to secure one of the final two spots remaining in the Tigers starting rotation, believed to be contested by Dontrelle Willis, Nate Robertson and Eddie Bonine.

Other notes:

Austin Jackson went 1-5 with a run scored, while Johnny Damon went 2-4 with an RBI. Magglio Ordonez continued his nice spring with a 2-4 night and an RBI.  Scott Sizemore went 1-2 with an RBI and a double.
